Western won the last time they faced Cardinal Gibbons and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chiefs, sneaking past 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Ali Solo spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Western saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Analie Diaz, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Danae Falquez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Western's win bumped their record up to 15-4-1. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they moved to 20-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Western nor the Chiefs have any future games scheduled.
