Softball Recap: Lake Mary Comes Up Short

Lake Mary and Lake Brantley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lake Mary had to settle for second. They lost 14-4 to the Patriots. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lake Mary saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Lake Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Lake Brantley, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3.

Lake Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Brantley, they will square off against Apopka at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Darters will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
