Basketball Recap: Griffin Bears vs. Central Lions
Griffin fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Central on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Lions. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 14-10 in the first quarter.
Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khaven Cochran out in front who went 7 for 16 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Connor Williams, who posted six points in addition to 15 boards and six blocks.
