Basketball Game Preview: Marquette University Hilltoppers vs. Hamilton Chargers

The Marquette University Hilltoppers will head out to square off against the Hamilton Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Marquette University can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Brookfield Central. The Hilltoppers' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton). They enjoyed a cozy 78-61 victory over West Allis Hale on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Chargers with their most commanding win of the season.

Marquette University was able to grind out a solid win over Hamilton in their previous matchup back in January, winning 72-63. Will Marquette University repeat their success, or does Hamilton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
