There's no place like home for Lemoore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Santa Ynez Pirates a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Pirates are ranked 760th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brian Delgado and Allen Fortune III scored both of Lemoore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Lemoore's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Santa Ynez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5-1.
