The South Barber Chieftains lost against the Cunningham Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. South Barber suffered a rough 60-36 defeat at the hands of Cunningham. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Barber in their matchups with Cunningham: they've now lost seven in a row.

Luke Albers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cunningham, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Albers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke McGuire, who scored 14 points.

South Barber's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cunningham, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

South Barber will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Attica on January 30th. As for Cunningham, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Stafford on January 16th.
