Basketball Game Preview: Flasher Bulldogs vs. Standing Rock Warriors

The Flasher Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Standing Rock Warriors at 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Standing Rock is hoping to do what New Salem couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Flasher's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Everything went Flasher's way against New Salem as Flasher made off with a 72-51 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Standing Rock). They breezed by Strasburg/Zeeland to the tune of 67-39 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Standing Rock and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Flasher, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Flasher came up short against Standing Rock when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 67-57. Can Flasher avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
