Football Recap: Presentation Panthers vs. King's Academy Knights
It was a good run, but Presentation unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to the King's Academy Knights.
A big part of King's Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Mia Bennette and her top target Sofia Poonen. Bennette threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns while Poonen picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Presentation's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for King's Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Presentation does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for King's Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 25-6 win against Mercy on the 9th.
