Football Game Preview: John Paul II Golden Warrriors vs. Hilton Head Prep Dolphins

The John Paul II Golden Warrriors will venture away from home to face off against the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II will be strutting in after a victory while Hilton Head Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

John Paul II took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat First Baptist School 42-10. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Warrriors this season.

John Paul II found their leader in freshman Jadon Inabinett, who rushed for 243 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Inabinett's longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Alan Wolf, who rushed for 50 yards and one touchdown.

John Paul II was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 440 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Hilton Head Prep fell victim to Pee Dee Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Golden Eagles, falling 44-0. The loss continues a trend for the Dolphins in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

The win got John Paul II back to even at 3-3. As for Hilton Head Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for John Paul II against Hilton Head Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-0 victory. Will the Golden Warrriors repeat their success, or do the Dolphins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
