Preview: East Webster Wolverines vs. Kossuth Aggies
The East Webster Wolverines will face off against the Kossuth Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with East Webster sitting on five straight wins and Kossuth on nine.
With a playoff game on the line, East Webster rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 36-28 victory over Rosa Fort.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaleb Warnock, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Briceton Johnson, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Kossuth was able to grind out a solid victory over Yazoo County on Friday, taking the game 21-8.
East Webster's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Kossuth, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record.
