Softball Recap: Watervliet Find Success

Watervliet's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Greenville Spartans. This was payback for the Cannoneers, who suffered a 21-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Lily Donnelly, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn Bagnardi, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Watervliet now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Watervliet is set to square off against their familiar foe Maple Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Greenville will take on rival Catskill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
