Aquinas came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cypress Centurions. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jayden Perez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Chase Davidson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

Aquinas' win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cypress, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Linfield Christian on the 5th. As for Cypress, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Villa Park on the 9th.
