Pacheco hasn't had much luck against Lathrop recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Pacheco took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Livingston as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pacheco walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-14.

Pacheco can attribute much of their success to Graciela Welker, who had nine digs and two aces. Lianna Busse also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Pacheco was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

If Beyer wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lathrop, they should've done a better job of containing Ayden Petroff. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots on Monday thanks in part to Petroff, who had five aces and one block. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 17 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

Pacheco's record is now 8-11. As for Lathrop, their record now sits at 11-5.
