The biggest upset of the week belonged to James Lick, who took down 938th ranked Del Mar, 26-6.

Yerba Buena's Guillermo Gonzalez recorded the longest rushing play in West Valley this season in his game against Prospect last week. Gonzalez ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 120 on the day as his team fell to the Panthers.

Prospect's dynamic duo of Angel Guillen and Daniel Newson proved tough for Yerba Buena to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Guillen threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns and Newson had 88 yards receiving. Christian Nielsen helped Prospect's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback Nico Juarez of Evergreen Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 322. He has also thrown one touchdown. On the ground, Mike Suarez's team's Raiden Sainz has rushed for 364 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Newson. The Prospect star has 14 catches for 188 yards.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when San Jose takes on the Comets. The Bulldogs have allowed 29 points this season, while James Lick has given up 33.

Ray Jimenez's team moved up to 974 from 1,030 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 26-6 win over the Dons helped the Comets improve their standing.
