Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Gateway + How To Watch

Gateway entered their tilt with Central Pointe Christian Academy on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the CPCA.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gateway took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gateway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabriela Alvarez, who had eight assists and six aces. Alvarez is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leimarys Padro Torres, who had six digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Gateway was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Gateway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Tohopekaliga on the 2nd. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Poinciana on the 2nd.
