Volleyball Game Preview: Conneaut Area Eagles vs. Mercyhurst Prep Lakers

The Conneaut Area Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conneaut Area will be strutting in after a win while Mercyhurst Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Conneaut Area made easy work of Rocky Grove and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Orioles: they've now won four in a row.

Conneaut Area was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Mercyhurst Prep lost 3-0 to Meadville on Thursday.

Conneaut Area's victory bumped their record up to 15-4-1. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Conneaut Area skirted past Mercyhurst Prep 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
