Basketball Recap: Austin's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against John Marshall, Austin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They managed a 71-66 win over the Albert Lea Tigers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Packers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Austin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Albert Lea, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Austin will be playing at home against Owatonna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Owatonna's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Albert Lea, they will venture away from home to square off against Winona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Albert Lea is facing Winona at the right time seeing as Winona is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
