Harrison County got themselves on the board against Holy Cross on Friday, but Holy Cross never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Thorobreds/Fillies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 25 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Shyanne Ross made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owyn McCoy, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Lexie Highlander was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Harrison County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Cross only posted a batting average of .100.

The win was the fifth in a row for Harrison County, bringing their record up to 33-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Holy Cross, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-15-1.

As of now, neither Harrison County nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
