Basketball Game Preview: Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs vs. Indio Rajahs

Coachella Valley hasn't had much luck against Indio recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs will look to defend their home court against the Indio Rajahs at 5:30 p.m. Coachella Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.5 points per game this season.

Coachella Valley will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Yucca Valley, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Coachella Valley blew past Yucca Valley 71-50 on Thursday. The Mighty Arabs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Joe Beltran was nothing short of spectacular: he went 7 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Lopez, who posted ten points and five steals.

Beltran wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Coachella Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Indio ended up a good deal behind Desert Christian Academy on Saturday and lost 58-41. While losing is never fun, the Rajahs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1119th, while the Conquerors are ranked 296th).

Coachella Valley's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.4 points. As for Indio, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
