Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Dyersburg's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Dyersburg won the last time they faced Dyer County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dyersburg Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 win over the Dyer County Choctaws. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Choctaws are ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dyersburg has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Dyer County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dyersburg will venture away from home to take on South Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dyer County has already played their next game (against Obion County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
