Soccer Recap: Starpoint Takes a Loss

Starpoint fought the good fight in their overtime match against Lafayette on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Generals by a score of 2-1. If Starpoint were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Lafayette when the teams met back in October of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Starpoint dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Lafayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-1-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Starpoint will take on East Aurora at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lafayette, they will face off against International Prep at Grover/Pathways Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
