Baseball Recap: Medina Makes It Ten in a Row on the Road

Medina entered their tilt with Wilson on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Lakemen 7-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Friday.

The result came thanks to Preston Woodworth's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Medina let Aidan Papaj and Brody Fry run wild. Papaj got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Fry went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Papaj has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Culver, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Medina's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Wilson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Medina will take on Kenmore West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
