Baseball Recap: Littlestown Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Littlestown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 7-2 to the Spring Grove Rockets on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbolts of the 17-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2018.

Littlestown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Claggett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Spring Grove back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Littlestown will face off against Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Spring Grove, they will square off against Shippensburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
