Mount Vernon's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-0 victory over Lewis. The Majors haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 15-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hayfield.

Mount Vernon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
