Loogootee had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 5-15 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Shoals Jug Rox 11-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Jocelynn Sims made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Brynn Lengacher was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Breanna Courter, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Loogootee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shoals only posted a batting average of .222.
