Softball Recap: Clarendon Hall Has No Trouble Against Carolina Academy

Clarendon Hall never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Carolina Academy Bobcats. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Saints yet this season.

Calli Yount made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Yount was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Clarendon Hall let Maggie Harrington and Brynli Brewer run wild. Harrington went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Brewer went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Harrington a new career-high. Aubree Richardson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Clarendon Hall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Clarendon Hall's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Carolina Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-7.
