Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Trail Comes Up Short

Cherokee Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Castle View Sabercats, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since April 16, 2024.

While Cherokee Trail had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Cherokee Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Castle View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Cherokee Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Regis Jesuit on the 13th. As for Castle View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Cherry Creek on the 14th.
