Basketball Game Preview: Brookfield Bulldogs vs. Lathrop Mules

The Brookfield Bulldogs and the Lathrop Mules will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Brookfield is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against South Shelby on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Brookfield took a blow against South Shelby, falling 53-21. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lathrop waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 54-44 win over the Cardinals.

Lathrop pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Brookfield, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
