Softball Recap: North Stanly Comets vs. Mount Pleasant Tigers
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when North Stanly and Mount Pleasant meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Comets walked away with a 6-2 win over the Tigers. Six seems to be a good number for the Comets as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Sophia Crist spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits.
On the hitting side, Allie Morgan was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Sammie Lowder was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
