Football Recap: Jefferson Davis Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Jefferson Davis Academy dropped to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They received a blow as they fell 46-32 to Holly Hill Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Holly Hill Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-6 back in September.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gregory Lihan, who rushed for 173 yards and one TD while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Lihan's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Dalton Nix, who threw for 93 yards and three touchdowns.

As for Holly Hill Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.0 points this season.

It was another big night for Parker Kizer, who rushed for 355 yards and five scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 15 yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Jake Kirven helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards.

Jefferson Davis Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holly Hill Academy, they will square off against Richard Winn Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.89 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
