Preview: Valley Center Jaguars vs. Westview Wolverines
Valley Center is 0-4 against Westview since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Valley Center Jaguars will head out on the road to challenge the Westview Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Valley Center gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 80-53 victory over San Pasqual at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Valley Center has posted since December 12, 2023.
It was another big night for Kevin Garcia, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Carson Yoder was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Westview blew past Escondido, posting a 72-33 victory at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westview.
Valley Center has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Westview, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Valley Center lost to Westview on the road by a decisive 70-55 margin in their previous meeting on January 10th. Can Valley Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
