Soccer Game Preview: Norwell vs. Bellmont

Norwell hasn't had much luck against Bellmont recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Braves at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Norwell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Fort Wayne Canterbury get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Norwell sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Grace Mann and Hallie Smith scored all three of Norwell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 39 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bellmont). Everything went their way against New Haven on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-0 victory. Give Bellmont's defense some credit: that's the team's ninth straight shutout.

Norwell's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Bellmont, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-5.

Norwell might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Bellmont in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
