Baseball Recap: Good Samaritan Homeschool Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Good Samaritan HomeSchool had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Guardians, too.

The team relied heavily on Brock Feurerbach, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lane Bounds, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for John Paul the Great Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on the 8th. As for John Paul the Great Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-9 win against Psalms Christian Academy on the 8th.
