While Belle Plaine's win against Sibley East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wolverines 7-5. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won eight in a row.

Nolan Swenson was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Swenson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Grant, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Belle Plaine's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Sibley East, they moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Belle Plaine will head out on the road to face off against Glencoe-Silver Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
