North Fort Myers strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Mariner Tritons by a score of 7-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Red Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Tritons are ranked 199th).

North Fort Myers didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Amari'Yonna Jennings and Kenlee Dominguez. Dominguez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

North Fort Myers pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Mariner, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

North Fort Myers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mariner, they will square off against Ida Baker at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tritons 2.2, the Bulldogs 12.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
