League recap: Hendricks breaks off league-leading run for Cabell Midland

Dontae Hendricks of Cabell Midland ran for the longest rushing play in Mountain State this season against Washington last week. Hendricks' team bested Washington as he sprinted for 96 yards on the play and finished with 140 in all.

Huntington added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lewis County, 31-7. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.

Ripley's Trevor Tucker and Kade Harrison have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Tucker has thrown for 1,321 yards this season, while Harrison has 44 catches for 986 yards. Kasey Thomas from Cabell Midland leads the league in rushing with 1,131 yards.

The marquee game in Mountain State this week will be the clash between Huntington and George Washington. Billy Seals' team enters the contest ranked first in the state, while the Patriots ranks seventh.

Tucker has rushed for 992 yards on 166 carries so far this year.

He has recorded 44 catches for 986 yards this year.

Spring Valley fell to Martinsburg 36-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
