Basketball Game Preview: Wren Hurricanes vs. South Pointe Stallions

The Wren Hurricanes will head out on the road to take on the South Pointe Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wren took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Travelers Rest by a score of 54-44.

Meanwhile, South Pointe put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past Bluffton to the tune of 90-12. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 34 points or more this season.

Wren better keep an eye on Kaleigh Lucas. She was instrumental in South Pointe's win, going 10-for-16 en route to 25 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. The game was Lucas' eighth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of JaNyia Cunningham, who went 9-for-12 on her way to 18 points and six rebounds.

South Pointe's victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.4 points. As for Wren, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.
