Clayton Valley Charter extended the longest winning streak in Diablo Valley this week by beating Ygnacio Valley, 35-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Eagles.

Concord scaled the state rankings by moving to 249 from 306 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Minutemen were able to move up by beating Northgate 30-28.

Concord's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. MITCH DANIELS threw for 332 and 4 touchdowns and MASON KNIGHT had 192 yards receiving. On the ground MALIK BLACKBURN chipped in 81 yards. RONNIE ALGOOD helped Concord's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 88 yards.

He went 21-38 with 1 interception.

KNIGHT was the best wideout in the league this week as Brian Hamilton's team beat the Broncos. KNIGHT tallied 9 receptions for 192 yards. ALGOOD helped Concord's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 88 yards.

The Minutemen's DANIELS and KNIGHT have formed a dream team this season, leading Diablo Valley in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback DANIELS has thrown for 1,811 yards this season, while KNIGHT has 53 catches for 778 yards. Miles Harrison from Clayton Valley Charter leads the league in rushing with 880 yards.

Going into this week's game against College Park, Concord's DANIELS needs 189 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.

At the moment, the Falcons are in fourth, while the Minutemen are in second.

Mt. Diablo lost to College Park 47-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Fine Hafoka threw for 91 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 26 yards in the defeat.
