Basketball Game Preview: Rushville Lions vs. Shelbyville Golden Bears

The Rushville Lions will challenge the Shelbyville Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rushville has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 27.

Rushville is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Columbus North on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Rushville came up short against Columbus North, falling 63-42. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Bull Dogs are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Shelbyville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on North Decatur with a sharp 47-23 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Golden Bears have posted since January 3rd.

Shelbyville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Rushville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
