Softball Recap: Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Comes Up Short

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop couldn't beat Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Mustangs, falling 16-6. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will head out to challenge Mayer Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they will challenge Renville County West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
