Baseball Recap: Christopher Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gunderson

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christopher). They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over the Gunderson Grizzlies on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cougars with their most commanding win of the season.

Christopher got a massive performance out of Liam Aragon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jacob Vasquez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Aragon wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Christopher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Christopher now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Gunderson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christopher will face off against Leland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christopher is facing Leland at the right time seeing as Leland is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Gunderson, they will take on Mt. Pleasant at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gunderson's pitchers better be ready for this one: Mt. Pleasant has averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
