Baseball Game Preview: Burgettstown Blue Devils vs. Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers

Burgettstown is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m.

Burgettstown came up short against Maret on Sunday, falling 13-3.

Burgettstown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Snyder, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Jayden Roach, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Chartiers-Houston ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Geibel Catholic 2-1.

Luke Beresh led a balanced Buccaneers bullpen and struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

Burgettstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chartiers-Houston, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Burgettstown was able to grind out a solid win over Chartiers-Houston in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, winning 8-4. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
