Volleyball Recap: Mount Airy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

Mount Airy came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the West Stokes Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Granite Bears also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2015.

Mount Airy never let West Stokes on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-23.

Rebekah Freeman paced Mount Airy's offense, picking up ten kills. Freeman got some help from Addison Mathies and her 15 assists. Jamari Mason controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mount Airy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for West Stokes, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Mount Airy will take on Alleghany at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Stokes, they will challenge Atkins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
