Basketball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Neah Bay

Naselle came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Neah Bay, but Makyah Chambers wouldn't allow it. The Neah Bay Red Devils took down the Naselle Comets 66-52 on Saturday thanks in part to Chambers, who went 10 of 17 en route to 22 points in addition to six assists and six steals. He has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played.

Daniel Cumming was another key player, putting up two points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Neah Bay pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Naselle, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neah Bay will take on Crescent at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Neah Bay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Crescent likes a good challenge. As for Naselle, they will challenge Willapa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willapa Valley will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Naselle surely won't give up without a fight.
