Recap: Hardin-Central Bulldogs vs. Meadville Eagles
The Hardin-Central Bulldogs were the 48-43 winner over the Meadville Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Hardin-Central took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meadville on Saturday.
Gauge Shiflett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Meadville, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Carter Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Hardin-Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Meadville, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardin-Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Breckenridge at 8:00 p.m. on February 20th. Hardin-Central is facing Breckenridge at the right time seeing as Breckenridge is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Meadville, they will head out on the road to take on Tina-Avalon at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Meadville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
