Volleyball Recap: Tarbut V' Torah Takes a Loss

After flying high against First Baptist last Thursday, Tarbut V' Torah came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Avalon Lancers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat on Monday.

Tarbut V' Torah actually scored more points across those five sets (101-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 11-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-11.

Tarbut V' Torah's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Avalon, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lancers beat Tarbut V' Torah by a score of 3-2 later that day.
