Basketball Recap: Royal Palm Beach Takes a Loss

Royal Palm Beach and Dwyer squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Royal Palm Beach had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Dwyer Panthers 59-11. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Liz Lynskey had a dynamite game for Dwyer, going 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maressa Deitch, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Royal Palm Beach now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Dwyer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Royal Palm Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dwyer, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dwyer Panthers take on the Martin County Tigers on Thursday. Dwyer has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
