Volleyball Recap: Clovis East Timberwolves vs. Arroyo Grande Eagles        
        
		
             Clovis East came tearing into  Saturday's  game with three straight wins  and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   2-0  victory over the Arroyo Grande Eagles. This was a revenge  match for the Timberwolves, as the team was forced to settle for  a  2-0 defeat when these two played  last Friday.
 The final score came out to 25-19,  25-21.
 Clovis East's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jimena Alvarado, who  had eight  digs, six  kills, and two  aces. Alvarado is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had five or more in the last four games she's  played dating back to last season.  Keniah Verduzco was another key player,  getting two  aces.
 Clovis East's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Arroyo Grande, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record  this season.
 Clovis East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  win vs. Justin Garza on the 17th. As for Arroyo Grande, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mission College Prep at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
