Baseball Recap: Atchison County Takes a Loss

Atchison County lost against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 5-4.

Riley Kesinger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Rance Vesser, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Atchison County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Ravens beat Atchison County by a score of 5-4 later that day.
