Baseball Recap: Westover Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Timberlake Christian

After only two runs in their last game, Westover Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Timberlake Christian on Wednesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Tornadoes 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Colt Cromy was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Westover Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Jay Miller, who earned three runs and five stolen bases. Miller is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Elijah Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Westover Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Westover Christian Academy's record now sits at 5-6. As for Timberlake Christian, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Timberlake Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
